But it is still a TSI motor...it is weird though, VW AG has a great TSFI motor with similar specs laying around they could have used that.

I noticed that too. But would they make two engines of different series to be exactly the same? Because the gen 3 TSI in the Beetle and GLI is only putting out 210/207.

I think they upgraded the previous gen GTI TSI and will soon update the TFSI from the A4 etc...but Audi is taking their sweet time with that update.

That's what I'm saying. The upgraded TSI engine still only has 207 ftlb of torque.
